CUMC volunteers play a vital role at the Longview Resource Center, helping distribute food and directly assisting families facing hunger. We are committed to fighting food insecurity in our community.
One Love Longview - Homeless Services
Our members support One Love’s mission to provide resources and remove the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction recovery. We participate in monthly lunch preparation, organize food donations, and assist with various tasks.
Longview Community Ministries
We partnered with St. Andrew Presbyterian in a friendly food drive competition, collecting over 1600 items for their pantry. While we didn’t win the overall prize, the combined donations significantly benefited the community.
CUMC members assembled hygiene kits for children entering the CPS system. This initiative provided essential items for these vulnerable youth during a difficult transition.
